In preparation for the upcoming GNI report, the Global Nexus Initiative restarted its workshop series on November 15, 2018, in Washington, D.C., to explore the and discuss the key challenges for safeguards and security with advanced reactors. The initial safeguards assessment was based on the analysis, Identifying Preliminary Criteria for Safeguarding Advanced Nuclear Reactors, presented at the 2018 Symposium on International Safeguards: Building Future Safeguards Capabilities.
